• Service to a Broad Clientele:  Our target client base is diverse and not limited to the most affluent members of our community. We have designed certain of our basic services accordingly. We have no net worth minimums for clients who see a value in our services.

  • Independence and Objectivity:  We have no affiliations or ties with other firms, and we do not sell securities or life insurance. That keeps us on the same side of the table as our clients in reviewing the products, services and performance of others.

  • Minimizing Investment Expenses and Taxes:  Most investment advice is very expensive, especially the “wrap fee programs” of brokerage houses and mutual funds with commissions and annual marketing expenses. An indifference to the tax impact of high portfolio turnover takes another large bite from net investment returns. With moderate fees, no-load investment recommendations, and an attention to the tax effect of our investment suggestions, we can offer a considerable savings over existing alternatives.

  • A Flexible Menu of Services:  We tailor our services to clients’ individual interests and needs. Clients may choose either one-time or ongoing advice. For certain services, they may prefer hourly fees.

  • Empathy:  Most of those who first perceive a need for outside financial help are experiencing a change or transition. For some, it may be newly liquid wealth from the sale of a business or an inheritance. More often these days, people have suffered a loss, most commonly from the largest stock market decline in 30 years. For others, financial uncertainty compounds the pain of a job loss, divorce, disability or the death of a loved one. Even voluntary retirement presents many new challenges. We are here to offer an anchor in uncertain times. That means listening patiently and dealing with unusual circumstances as well as offering steady, professional guidance.

  • Accessibility:  For our clients’ convenience, we will gladly meet at their homes or offices. Many clients need this service. Others simply prefer it. Whether it is a need or a preference, we accommodate it.

  • Trust:  Ask people what they first look for in a professional advisor, and the most frequent response is trustworthiness. You will most likely find that quality among well-recognized individuals who have lived in and served their communities for a long time. Many people already know us. Our reputation is our most precious resource. We will work hard to keep and enhance it.
